Glazed Carrots

Ingredients

  • 1 pound carrots
  • 2 quarts water
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • salt
  • black pepper

Instructions

  • Julienne the carrots
  • Blanche the carrots
  • Melt the butter and combine with lemon juice and maple syrup
  • Add the carrots and gently stir
  • Garnish the carrots with lemon zest and parsley
